Stress - A Closer Look

STEP 1 Take A Close Look


Everyday we have stress. Some stress is good. It keeps us going. It helps us create. But most stress is a dull pain or at bad times a sharp one. People just put up with it because usually it's not too bad. The goal of this series of exercises will be to lower your stress levels.

Let's start by taking a close look at areas of your life where there is stress. Go over each section to rate how strong the stress is, look at examples, and sum up what's going on.

SCHOOL


MONEY


HEALTH


BODY (what you do to your body i.e. smoking)


OTHER




EXERCISE
Pick an area to work on.
Sit or lay down in a quiet area.
Give yourself peace self hypnosis.
My shoulders, arms and hands are at peace.
My chest and stomach are at peace.
My back is at peace.

THE PRESENT - Recreate the normal situation. For example I'm at work ........ Next bring up the stress. See feel how strong it is and recreate stressful scenes in your mind. Perhaps there is a color or shape. Where is it coming from. Give it a number for how heavy it is.

START NOW - See yourself starting down the path of letting go of your stress.

Next strong self hypnosis
My shoulders, arms and hands are strong.
My chest and stomach are strong.
My back is strong.


When you are ready try another stress area.
